Transforming Law Firm Culture: Creating Conditions for Career Success

September  18, 2014    Toronto, ON
Culture refers to the unwritten rules that dictate how a group operates, including the way in which group members relate to one another, their work, and the outside world. The culture of a law firm can produce unintended barriers for newcomers and others who may not “fit” the mold. How can you identify and "de-code" unspoken cultural rules? Can you modify the existing culture, or do you attempt to adjust and develop survival techniques? How can you understand and transform the culture as a pathway to success? What can law firms or other legal organizations do to make diversity part of their culture?
