Dell offers $50,000 global innovation award

Entrepreneurs in Canada and around the world have a chance to win a $50,000 USD prize from one of the largest computer manufacturers in the world.

Dell Inc., has announced the 2009 Dell Small Business Excellence Award which will allow small businesses who have applied various technologies in way that benefit their clients and are innovative, to win the award.

The global award will feature $50,000 worth of technology and services from Dell, a lifetime membership to the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) and a meeting with Dell chairman and CEO Michael Dell.

Those interested need to submit their entries by Friday, April 3. Entries can be submitted online at www.dell.ca/ceaward. Only businesses of less than 100 employees are eligible to enter. Thirteen nations (including Canada) will each choose 10 finalists in June, and each will select a national winner in September.

Canada’s finalists all receive a Dell business-class laptop, while the winner will receive $25,000 CDN in Dell products and services, and a sharing session with Dell executives, that will include Michael Dell, and a chance at the global prize, to be awarded in the Fall.
