New program offered to young entrepreneurs

TORONTO - A new on-line training program is being offered to entrepreneurs aged 18 to 34. Kickstartyourbiz.com, developed by the RBC Royal Bank and the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CBYF), provides learning modules from the idea to the early stages of small business growth.

"Now that entrepreneurship has become a common career option for many young people, we are seeing a greater need for accessible, affordable business training," says Anne Jamieson, Vice President of Ontario & Online Services for the Foundation.

In addition to the nine learning modules, the program will also feature discussion forums and an 'e-trainer', who will address specific questions and concerns about the program and other business issues. Cost of the online classes ranges from $19.99 to $119.99.
