Sandy asked:

I have just started a business but I am also and employee at a company.

I will be going on maternity leave and was wondering how does my self employment affect my EI claim or does it at all?

Howard Levitt answered:

Employment Insurance (EI) will claw back payments as a result of any income earned from another job, including self-employment.
