A salary employee working for a fast food store takes sick time and is off for 6 weeks, does the employer have to pay for the time off. As the employee was salary.

Howard Levitt answered:

It depends entirely on whether the employer has a sick-leave policy and what it states. It also depends on what the practice is for that company. Inherently, the employee has no claim for time off work due to illness.
