Immediate termination after giving two week notice:

By Howard Levitt |

Jordan asked:

If I give two weeks notice before quitting a job in an non-unionized retail company and they refuse to allow me to work for the two weeks, am I entitled to payment for the two weeks I can no longer work due to immediate termination?

Howard Levitt answered:

You are entitled to the pay, unless you are leaving to work for a competitor and have access to any confidential information.
