We'd like to refer you to the Canadian Legal Guide for Small Business published by the Self-Counsel Press. On page 32, it discusses the advantages of incorporating a company federally rather than provincially. One of the advantages of federal incorporation is that it allows a company to engage in business anywhere in Canada without having to register the company in individual provinces. This is something that you might like to investigate further.
