Donna Marrin

Donna M. Marrin has worked as an advertising/corporate communications writer in the retail field for over twenty years, most currently as a Senior Copywriter/Editor for the Staples Business Depot chain.

Outside of the day job, her publication credits include creative non-fiction, poetry and short fiction published in the Canadian Writer's Journal, a Prevention Magazine special publication, the Absolute Write ezine, the Mocha Memoirs Literary ezine, and numerous other small publications, along with a Most Humorous Essay contest win in The Writing Parent ezine.

In the fall of 1999, Donna established and continues to moderate a community group for writers, supported by the Markham Libraries. In 2004, Donna arranged a collaboration of the Markham Village Writers and the Markham Group of Artists to produce an anthology of short fiction and juried artwork, The Collected Works, aggressively marketed and well-received throughout the Markham community.

In addition, Donna volunteers as editor and a contributing writer for the Markham Arts Council publication, Arts In Motion, and serves on the Community Links panel for the York Region Newspaper Group.
