Background

Kim Mortson is a seasoned facilitator and workshop leader who delivers a variety of sessions on business financing, start up issues for small business, customer service and networking skills. Kim provides business coaching services for a York Region-based small business resource centre and the federal government's Self Employment Assistance Program.

While working with her clients, Kim found discussions often focused on the challenges and frustration identifying and securing appropriate financing for their businesss start up. To find out what the real issues were, Kim did extensive research in the financial sector to get a better understanding of expectations and issues. As a result of this research, Kim has been able to assist hundreds of entrepreneurs secure successful financing to get their business off the ground.

Kim is the owner of Visionaire Consulting. She is also the Managing Director of Creative Community Ventures, a nonprofit organization specializing in Community Economic Development Projects and Customer Service Training. You can reach Kim at kimco@neptune.on.ca.
