PEI: Tourism operators get marketing support through new program

By CO Staff @canadaone |

PE - Tourism operators can sign up for a Total Market Readiness program designed to provide one-on-one support to help tourism businesses focus their developmental activities, prioritize their investments, enhance overall business skills, and deliver consistent exemplary guest experiences.

The Tourism Industry Association of PEI (TIAPEI) will deliver the program, which will be offered over a two year period commencing this spring. Operators who successfully complete the program will be recognized with the marketing designation, Genuine Island Host.

The program received funding from the federal government through Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency ($150,000) and from the PEI Department of Tourism ($50,000). Operators will pay $750 to complete the program.

Operators are encouraged to apply for the program as space is limited and appplications will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. Applications are available on the TIAPEI website, www.tiapei.pe.ca.
