Investment Showcase program to help companies gain capital

Those in the Sudbury area who believe they are one of the best investment-seeking companies, now have an opportunity to show off their skills.
An Investment Showcase program will be presented between March 23 and 25 by the Northern Ontario Enterprise Gateway (NOEG). The program will help companies looking for investment giving hands-on coaching that prepares them to present their business to a network of investors.
"Despite a recent spate of bad news announcements highlighting the economic downturn and resulting impact on Northern Ontario businesses, there is some good news," said Jim Noble, NOEG regional coordinator. "Investors are still looking for opportunities to invest in business."
The program is geared towards high-growth potential businesses who are planning to find investment capital in the next 12 months. After the coaching, each business owner can present their proposal to potential investors in a private one-on-one session.
NORCAT's innovation centre on Maley Dr. in Sudbury is the location for the event. Any interested entrepreneurs can find out more information and register for the program at: www.noeg.ca, and by calling (705) 377-7600 or (866) 924-7600.
