Reducing Spam

Submitted by Larry McKee of Toronto, Ontario

While the web is a wonderful place to do research and request more information via E-mail, spamming can become a problem when you request info from a source that doesn't adhere to the basic rule of not passing along e-mail addy's. Next time you ask for info, set up a free account with Hotmail, Yahoo, etc first and then do your request with that new address. That way you won't tie up your business/personal e-mail with spam, it will be sent to another address.

How has this helped your business?
Like any small business, I do a lot of research online and as such I request more info as I go along. The spam ratio on my business e-mail has been reduced drastically.
