Sakayan’s intoxication with the world of fine jewelry began in Cairo in the 1980’s when he assisted his father in his humble boutique. When Sakayan came to Canada, the design department at Birks quickly recruited him while several other big jewelry houses vied for his unique talents. Soon his entrepreneurial spirit began to feel restless and Sakayan decided to set up his own atelier. In 2001, Sakayan went into business for himself and now presents his exclusive creations by appointment. He also designs and creates unique pieces on commission for both local clients and clients across North America.
Today Sakayan’s strong online presence has spread far beyond the confines of his charming little studio. No matter how wide his reach, you can still find him in downtown Montreal’s jewelry district dreaming up the next breathtaking piece of jewelry in his collection. Just be sure to make an appointment.
