Filmmaker Vincent T Joachim creates a webseries about Guardian Angels who use kung-fu to fight off evil

Calgary, Nov 17, 2014 -- Filmmaker Vincent T Joachim is producing a web series being shot in Calgary about a Guardian Angel inspiring people with hope and fighting off evil using kung-fu.

AN.X.O is a web series with 7-10 minute episodes that explores the life of Azarias, a new Guardian Angel, protector of those in need, who is assigned to help Sarah, a young university student, after she gets into a car accident and loses her vision. Azarias must guide Sarah through her difficulties while learning on the job and fighting off other spiritual forces.AN.X.O stars newcomer Roberto D Pal, Haley McClure and Paul Boultbee. This film is competing for funding through Telus' Storyhive grant. There are currently 59 applications in Alberta and 15 web series will be awarded $10,000 through a community voting process. Voting is open from November 10th - Dec 1st, 2014. The winner will be announced on Dec 8th, 2014.

Transmedia: 1. The first episode will launch as a webisode on the internet in the Spring of 2015. 2. A digital comic book series will be launched in the Fall of 2015. Visual Effects: Halo Wrist Band: All Guardian Angels wear their halos on their wrist. It looks like a futuristic metallic watch when not in use. The halo device can project holograms with computer like interfaces that Azarias can interact with using his fingers. The halo device emanates a yellowish glow when it’s in use. It also can project light into solid objects such as a sword, key, & shield. Martial Arts Style: The style of combat will be a mix of Kung-fu and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
