Graffiti: Art or vandalism? (part 1)

Graffiti art has been a controversial topic in Toronto. Is it vandalism or art? Should small businesses bear the brunt of clean-up when their buildings are tagged?

CanadaOne participated in the Graffiti Town Hall hosted by the Direct Engagement Show in the spring, which brought together graffiti artists, municipal government and small business owners. This fall we will look at how the City of Toronto plans to tackle this complex issue.

To gain insight into the art side of graffiti, we caught up with former gang member turned artist, Angel Carrillo aka Cruz1.
